As the VP of Operations Sonar spearheads strategy planning, business analytics and governance, and business transformation initiatives for VMware’s Products and Cloud Services organization. Her team drives strategic, operational, and organizational programs to deliver SaaS acceleration, scale the business with speed and deliver aggressive growth. Prior to her current role, Sonar spent almost 19 years at Cisco in various Engineering and Operations roles for multiple multi-billion dollar businesses including Data Center, IoT, and Networking. Sonar loves sharing personal stories, pushing herself and her team to question the status quo and find new ways to solve problems.

Sonar is passionate about mentoring and sponsoring Women in Tech. Sonar’s recent recognitions include SVBJ Woman of Influence in 2020, YWCA TWIN award in 2019, and a fellowship with the IWF leadership foundation in 2018-2019. Sonar holds a BS in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University.
