Neythri today is announcing its Discovery, Premier and Leadership Circles and the Neythri Hub, all of which are designed to support and scale the world’s fastest growing community of South Asian professional women. Founded in March 2020, the nonprofit today hosts 1800+ members in 14 countries.

South Asian women have started to show up in very visible places. Perhaps no one has brought more visibility to the experiences of South Asian women recently than the United States’ Vice President Kamala Harris. Raised by her Indian mother and her aunties, Harris’ South Asian roots have a direct impact on how she governs. Combined with role models like Indra Nooyi, the previous Pepsi CEO,  Priyanka Chopra and her involvement in the new Victoria’s Secret brand, and the Indian space team of women, young, mid-career and senior-level South Asian women are seeing their likeness on platforms and stages like never before.

“There’s something really powerful and unique happening inside of Neythri,” said Mythili Sankaran, CEO and co-founder, Neythri. “The common cultural context of the South Asian experience, regardless of where in the world you live, is opening up conversations among a community of women traditionally quite conservative in asserting themselves and networking. Neythri provides a safe and nurturing environment that can begin to elevate more South Asian women across tech, finance, fashion, retail, healthcare and so much more.”

Neythri Circles & Hub

Neythri Circles, a newly launched tiered membership offering, is designed to help Neythri members build meaningful local and digital connections, find resources and opportunities and cultivate their voice within the community and beyond. Circles embody the inclusivity and open nature of the Neythri community. They are designed to support women at every stage of their careers, providing a continuous and virtuous circle of sharing life and career skills that can elevate women in their workplaces and their homes.

The Neythri Hub, a standout benefit of the Circles membership, is a new digital platform that enables a unique community experience where Neythri Members across the globe can connect, engage and collaborate with each other, provide support, and access opportunities for mutual benefit.  The Hub brings together Neythri’s differentiated cross-generational, cross-industry networks in a scalable and powerful platform with industry specific groups, special interest groups by functional area, peer groups, job opportunities board, exclusive programs, networking opportunities and more.

“Timing is everything. As inclusivity takes on deeper meaning across workplaces and communities and more South Asian women are in positions of leadership, Neythri has become the vehicle for these women to connect and elevate each other,” added Sankaran.

The Discovery Circle is the ideal starting point for members who are getting to know the organization and its programs and offers limited access to programming and Hub spaces. Discovery Circle members also receive the Neythri newsletter and can submit stories to the Neythri blog.

The Premier Circle is an upgraded membership that offers increased access to programming and Hub spaces, as well as the Neythri mentoring program.

The Leadership Circle is a curated membership designed for senior-level women interested in paying forward their experiences and success. This level also comes with access to senior-level programming such as Neythri Executive Salons and Board Readiness among others.

“The Leadership Circle represents the desire by so many of our founding and executive-level members to invest in a community space where women, many of whom are earlier in their careers, can learn from those who share many of the same cultural values and experiences,” said Chitra Nayak, co-founder, Neythri. “The Leadership Circle is my way of giving back.”

Additionally, Neythri has designed a Young Professionals Initiative to nurture and connect emerging South Asian women leaders with 2-10 years of work experience. Programming is tailored for this group, and recent examples include events hosted with an executive coach on the topic of managing up and small group discussions on career switching.

“Our very intentional commitment to the cross-generational aspect of Neythri gives younger women an opportunity to connect with senior professionals who can inspire and be role models,” said Sruthi Ramaswami, co-founder, Neythri. “The Young Professionals Initiative enables a tailored experience for young South Asian women to build relevant skillsets, gain exposure to different career paths, interface with senior leaders, grow their influence, and forge unique career identities.”

Neythri Futures Fund

Neythri CEO & co-founder, Mythili Sankaran, also recently launched a sister organization, the Neythri Futures Fund, which includes several Neythri Founding Circle members as Limited Partners. More than 70 percent of the Fund’s 200+ LPs are first time investors, demonstrating how the community has come together to create collective impact. The Fund has raised $7M+ and already made several investments in female founders and diverse founding teams building innovative tech-enabled solutions for the global market.
